About Us

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alex Aguera. I grew up in Florida and moved to Maui, Hawaii in 1982 at the age of 21 to further my Professional Windsurfing career. As a kid in Florida, I grew up fishing all the time. One of my passions was Snook Fishing, a type of game fish in Florida that tastes Delicious and puts up a great fight.

My other passion was windsurfing which my parents got us kids involved in during the winter of 1975. From there,  I pursued a  windsurf career and did quite well, reaching Number One Ranking in the world in 1985 just ahead of Robby Naish for 6 months of the season.

After my Pro Windsurf career, I started running the Biggest Windsurf competitions (PWA) around the world as the Race Director as well as Kiteboarding Competitions in the same capacity for the PKRA in the early days of that tour.

I also starting making windsurf boards for some of the top World level competitors like Micah Buzianis and Kevin Pritchard in the mid 90′s.

Today, I still Windsurf and Fish! But I  have picked some new passions like Kiteboarding, SUP’S, and Golf (but let’s not go there!).

Now, I would like to bring my passions of Kiteboarding and SUP’s to you! I have worked for many years with Jimmy Lewis, who is a master shaper/designer of all types of boards and he has helped me put my line of boards into production where his great boards are made in Vietnam. If you know Jimmy Lewis boards, you know they are made with top of the line construction and attention to detail! This is the main reason I wanted to get the boards produced there!

So feel confident that when you get a board from me, it will be a good one!
